Client Account Manager Accountant (Accountant – Accountancy Firm) with partnership potential.

 

ROLE SUMMARY:

Before we get into the list of tasks within this role, wouldn’t it be great to know what you will receive from this role:

  • You will be part of a small, expert team. You would be given the chance to help the team develop as well as having the chance to create an impact on how our business moves forward.  You would be expected to provide ideas on how the business could grow into the future and create plans for making your ideas a reality.
  • You will work primarily in our office, which is based on the outskirts of Earls Colne in Essex. Great transport connections along with country views.  Makes for a lovely commute in! We are always open to flexible remote working with all of our team.
  • You will have the chance to work with the latest accounting technology and help clients to maximize the benefits of this. You will be given the chance to retain your Xero and QBO certifications.
  • You will be actively involved in seeking new work around the local area and will be involved in promoting our brand to all local stakeholders.
  • You will have direct contact with clients which will give you the chance to make a difference to their businesses and lives. You will do this by providing a consistently excellent service which meets and agrees with our 5 key values.  You will also be at the forefront of providing additional services to clients, which you will match to their needs and goals.
  • You will work with a varied portfolio of clients including individuals, sole trade, partnership and Limited companies with a high level of autonomy. Most of our clients are small to medium sized businesses which means you will speak directly with the amazing entrepreneurs we help on a very regular basis.  This gives you the chance to make a genuine difference to their families and their businesses.
  • You will be keen to expand your knowledge and will be surrounded by a team who will support you at every step. You will be working towards or have completed your ACCA or equivalent qualification and eager to continue learning all aspects of pushing forward the business.
  • You will have had experience of working in a practice environment and love to work closely with a small team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Services

  1. Reviewing team members work – company accounts, partnership , sole traders , personal tax returns
  2. Preparation of annual accounts, management accounts and personal tax returns
  3. Manage staff and workloads to ensure internal deadlines are met
  4. Build positive relationships with clients and provide full support to clients in person, telephone, email and remotely.

Business Development

  1. Identify areas to develop new business or offer additional services and follow these opportunities through to ensure implementation
  2. Promote the services of the business to clients and potential clients

Team

  1. Supporting the training and development of the team
  2. Working closely with the Manging Director as part of the management team to improve the business
  3. Ensure processes and procedures are up to date and efficient

£42,500 to £50,000 and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Full time permanent.
