Are you a Company Director, Person of Significant Control or LLP? PLEASE ACT NOW

From 18 November 2025, if you’re a company director or a person with significant control (PSC), you must verify your identity by your due date.

The Companies House Register will be updated on 18 November 2025 to show the due dates for each role you hold.

You should verify yourself online using GOV.UK , if you have one of these types of ID:

Make sure one of the following is in date and has your name EXACTLY as registered with Companies House:
1. Biometric Passport (any country)
2. UK photo driving licence (full or provisional)
3. UK biometric residence permit (BRP)
4. UK biometric residence card (BRC)
5. UK Frontier Worker permit (FWP)
You will also need:
1. Your current address and the year you moved in
2. to sign in or create a GOV.UK login
3. Your verified identity will be connected to your GOV.UK One Login. If other people use the same email address as you to access GOV.UK One Login, they’ll need to create their own login using a different email address. An email address can only be used once to verify an identity.
How to verify if you do not have these types of photo ID OR you cannot complete it online
1. Visit a main participating Post Office, the closest participating post office to our offices are Braintree and Colchester . See this link for further information on what you must do prior to attending the post office. https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/in-branch-verification-service
Alternatively you can use an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
