If you are due to make a 2nd payment on account for 2024/25, this must be paid by 31 July 2025.

If this is relevant to you, we will have written to you when we prepared your 2023/24 tax return, or if we have already prepared your 2024/25 tax return, we will have written to you then.

Payments on account are estimates only, and we therefore recommend that you file your 2024/25 tax return as soon as possible and well before the final deadline of 31 January 2026.

Payment options

There are various ways in which you can pay the tax that you owe. Click here for the payment options.

The payment reference is your 10-digit HMRC Unique Tax Reference (UTR number) followed by the letter ‘K’.
